How PSAT Academy Approaches TEFA
At PSAT Academy, every child thrives in the right environment, whether neurodivergent, above level, or below level. We are a COGNIA accredited, NCAA approved K to 12 hybrid private school with our main campus in Houston, also serving families across Texas through our live synchronous school model.
TEFA participation is not needed for enrollment at PSAT Academy.
Admission decisions are made independently of whether a family participates in TEFA.
TEFA funds and PSAT Academy financial assistance can be used together. TEFA dollars apply to tuition and qualifying expenses through the state's Odyssey platform, and any school aid we award is set alongside that so the family's total support reflects actual need. We see TEFA and school aid as complementary, not competing, sources of help.
For families seeking school financial assistance, we coordinate support in this order:
- 1Apply for TEFA first to capture state support ($10,474, or up to $30,000 for students with qualifying disabilities).
- 2Apply for PSAT Academy school aid for the remaining gap.
- 3We direct our limited school aid to the genuine need that remains after public support is applied.
