Texas Education Freedom Accounts (TEFA)
PSAT Academy is an approved TEFA school. 2026/27 applications are closed and awards are now being notified in Odyssey portals. Awarded families ($10,474 standard / up to $30,000 with IEP) should confirm enrollment with PSAT, future families can join the 2027/28 interest list.

PSAT Academy participates in Texas's new Education Savings Account (ESA) program
Texas Education Freedom Accounts (TEFA)
$10,474 per student (85% of statewide average funding) to make private education more accessible for families across Texas. The 2026/27 application window has closed; awards are now posted in Odyssey portals. Funds release July 1, 2026 (≥25%), Oct 1, 2026 (≥50%), and April 1, 2027 (remainder).
Who's Eligible?
- 80,000-100,000 students statewide
- Priority for low income families (income below $162,000 for family of four)
- Priority for special needs students
- Up to $30,000 for children with disabilities
PSAT Academy Participation
- PSAT Academy will participate in the program
- ESA students begin Fall 2026
- One time application (no yearly reapplication)
- $2000 annually for homeschool families
